Abstract: Recently, over 150 delegates from 40 plus countries convened at the International Conference on From Unfairness to Justice held in Russia to discuss about the ubiquitous global issue of unfairness. Diverse opinions have been exchanged from different perspectives and implications are provided as follows. First, as fairness and justice are international buzzwords naturally enjoying their moral high ground, China needs to follow the trend and gradually become the trend-setter with greater influence in the international community. Second, the issue of fairness and justice touch upon nearly all sectors of a society including economy, society, culture, education, data, science and technology, ecology, resources and environment. Third, unfairness and injustice are existent to different extent in any country or region, and China has its due role to play in dealing with the related problems it faces. Fourth, to prevent and resolve the situations where unfairness and inequity might occur or justice is absent, all sectors of our society need to make concerted efforts. particularly the semi state-run and semi civilian-run organizations that need to be given their unique roles to play in this process. Fifth, environment justice has become a shared international concern, against which the Beautiful China initiative is China’s approach to enhancing fairness in terms of ecological environment and building a fair society.
