A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with allegedly luring a teenage girl online to have a sexual relationship with him, authorities told News2Houston.

Police said that the 14-year-old girl agreed to meet Anthony Paul Ferrel at a northwest Houston restaurant Monday after exchanging e-mails.

Ferrel picked the girl up at her school Wednesday morning, according to authorities.

"Her mother has told us that she dropped her off (at school) yesterday. Our records show that she did not make any of her classes yesterday," Spring Branch Independent School District Police Chief Charles Brawner said.

Wednesday night, Ferrel and the girl were questioned while they were in the parking lot of Mytiburger, 9405 Kempwood. Patrol officers said that both admitted to having sex.

Ferrel was then arrested and charged with sexual assault of a child.
