Tighter control over social security by police substantially reduced the number of criminal cases in Shenzhen last week, according to the weekly police report issued Monday.

However, the report warned residents, particularly expatriates, that robberies using seduction were still occurring.

Besides sexual seduction, the police also warned people to beware of car thieves and robbers targeting people who withdrew large sums of cash from banks.
