Call for Submissions — Xinjiang's Development: I Witnessed
Everyone has a unique story about Xinjiang — it could be a profound hometown connection, an unforgettable memory from a brief visit, or a friendship that transcends time and space.
As we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, we invite you to share your cherished memories and experiences of this remarkable land.

2. Eligibility and Submission Scope
Whether as a witness or a participant, your story is a vivid chapter in Xinjiang's development.
(1) Xinjiang natives living and working outside the region
Impressions of Xinjiang's transformations over the past 70 years, such as sci-tech advancement, livelihood improvements, and ecological preservation.
Personal experiences and engaging stories from your life outside Xinjiang, covering study, career, entrepreneurship, and cultural integration.
(2) Individuals who have travelled to, studied, worked, or settled in Xinjiang
Unique experiences and insights in Xinjiang, including but not limited to life and entrepreneurship, cultural experiences, travel, and ethnic harmony.
Reasons for choosing to start a business or build a life in Xinjiang, and your experiences in integrating into the local community.
(3) Regions, enterprises, universities, institutions, and other entities collaborating with Xinjiang
Outcomes and heartwarming stories of cooperation with Xinjiang in various fields, including culture, economy, education, science and technology, and aid programs.
3. Submission Requirements
We welcome diverse formats, including written articles, photos, videos, and more. Specific requirements are as follows:
(1) Written Articles
Submissions in Word format. Maximum 500 words for Chinese or 300 words for English.
Content must be highly related to the theme. Inclusion of at least one photo is recommended.
(2) Photo Stories
At least one high-resolution image (photography, illustration, graphic design, etc.) accompanied by a description of up to100 words in Chinese or English.
Images should be in JPEG or PNG format, with a resolution of no less than 300 dpi and a file size not exceeding 10 MB.
Ensure you have obtained necessary authorization for any portraits or copyrighted elements included.
(3) Videos
Duration: 30 seconds to 5 minutes.
File size: not exceeding 1 GB.
Format: MP4 or MOV.
Ensure clear and stable image. Landscape or portrait orientation is acceptable.
Include a description of up to 100 words in Chinese or English.
4. Other Requirements
(1) How to Submit:

(2) Please attach your work to the email. In the body of the email, please include: author's name, nationality/place of origin, occupation, contact information, title of the work, and confirm that you hold the copyright to the content.
(3) Deadline: October 30, 2025
(4) All submissions must be original and copyright-compliant. Contributors will be held responsible for any legal disputes arising from their submissions.
5. Publication Channels
Selected content that is constructive and aligned with the theme will be published on appropriate domestic and international platforms, including but not limited to Xinjiang-themed social media accounts and websites, China Daily's website, and overseas social media accounts dedicated to specific topics. Outstanding submissions will be recommended to additional media outlets and channels.
