Equestrian elation for China as host rides to golden double
China claimed its first-ever Asian Games equestrian gold medals after three-time Olympian Alex Hua Tian (pictured) won the individual eventing title, and a team of Hua Tian, Liang Ruiji, Sun Huadong and Bao Yingfeng outperformed second-placed Japan and bronze medalist Thailand after three days of competition in Hangzhou on Monday. China had previously won two silver and three bronze medals in the 41 years since equestrian sports were introduced at the Asiad.
